Collaboration – with diverse views – leads to better investing insights
This page will tell readers about my crowd source project to improve the Nuggets of Investing Wisdom for everyone. The project is to crowd source ideas not money. It will be based on the Wisdom of Crowds and benefits to all of collaboration.
Challenge to readers
My challenge to readers is this. Let’s work together to make the site even better. We can do this if you are willing to contribute ideas and text revisions for amendments to any of the existing 275 plus posts. Or you may have ideas and text to contribute to a new post.
I will act as editor. If ideas and revision suggestions have merit, they will be added to existing posts or to new posts. For any additions or revisions that are made, the reader offering them will receive credit in the post as co-author. If anyone would prefer not to be shown as co-author with credit, I will respect their wishes.
I want to encourage a diversity of ideas. I’d be happy to receive unconventional suggestions. If I happen to think differently from a proposed idea or text revision, I would be happy to include the suggestion with an ‘on the one hand and on the other hand’ comment. Readers should feel comfortable sharing any idea without fear of judgment.
How it will work
Readers of any post, whether the post is recent or from several years ago, are invited to suggest improvements to a post (submissions). If they think the post could be improved with some additions, they can send me text to make the revisions. Write a paragraph or two or more if you wish. If you disagree with a post, send text that can be added to show the other side of the story. And so on. Proposed changes, additions, substitutions or deletions are welcome. Let me know your name, your country and where in your country you live and I can add that to your name in giving you credit, if you choose.
When a post has been revised, I will repost it with a current date and co-author credit. I think at this point we have to think of it as a pilot project. It can be changed as necessary so as to benefit all readers.
In the meantime, I plan to review all existing posts and revise if I think necessary.
As this pilot project works itself out, the number of new posts will be limited. Most of the posts should be improvements to existing posts through collaborative crowd sourcing with an updated publication date.
